Indian captain MS Dhoni's humility again came to the fore at the end of the series-levelling win against South Africa on Sunday when he credited his team and not his decisions for the result at Kanpur.
"I think it was a complete team effort. We did not win the toss and we were put on the backfoot. Sourav batted brilliantly and the part-timers picked up the crucial wickets," he said.
He also credited Ishant Sharma and S Sreesanth for putting up the 46-run last-wicket stand that helped India get a 60-run lead that turned out to be an invaluable contribution.
Dhoni also said Harbhajan Singh had performed "above par". The Turbanator was adjudged the Man of the Series.
The wicketkeeper-batsman, who captained the Test side for the first time due to Anil Kumble's injury, in another fine gesture asked the leggie to receive the Future Cup along with Proteas skipper Graeme Smith.
Meanwhile, Indian coach Gary Kirsten said he was happy to have a win under the belt in his first series.
"This is a proud cricketing nation and the team wanted to come (to Kanpur) and turn things around," he said.
