Day three totally belongs to India . A brilliant opening spell by Bhaaji , who was supported by I.Sharma & V.Sehwag , helps India to win the match and level the series . Before the start of play India was 288/9 . Sreesanth and Sharma batted superbly for 10th wicket and gave India 60 runs crucial lead which was followed up by the heroics of Harbhajan Singh , Sehwag & I.Sharma which resulted in the downfall of South Africa in their 2nd innings , who were bowled out cheaply for 121 . G.Smith top scoring for Sa with 35. India with only 62 runs to chase in their 2nd innings was feeling very comfartable and secure . Sehwag with a quick fire 22 off 12 with 2 big sixes , helped India leveling the match . Ganguly with his brilliant batting performance in 1st innings ( 87) , earned him Man Of The Match and Harbhajan with good overall bowling performance in all the tests , earned him Man Of The Series

India remain on the Number 2 spot in the ICC Test Team Rankings.
This was the first instance when two consecutive Test matches in India have got over in three days.
